In Germany, the official language is German with about 95% of Germans speaking German for their first language. Other languages spoken are Sorbian, North and West Frisian,Danish, Romani, Turkish, and Kurdish.

ReligionAbout 30 percent of Germans are Protestants, mostly Lutherans in Eastern Germany. Another 30 percent are Roman Catholics, most in Bavaria. Nearly 5 percent are Muslims.

Arts and Music
The arts play a tremendous role in Germany's culture. Germany's reputation for music today is based off of Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Handel and Richard Strauss in which came from Germany. The most serious among the arts are classic music, literature, philosophy, and theater. Germany has numerous theaters, art galleries, museums, symphony orchestras, libraries, and other cultural places to visit such as Leipzig, a art museum in Germany.
Sports and Recreational activities
Soccer is the most played and famous sport in Germany.It is not only the most popular of team sports in Germany, but the country’s favorite spectator sport as well.
